Positive solutions to the problem of staff retention in the industry. My Colleague was telling me, only today, how she had interviewed a handful of excellent mature waiters/hospitality people with brilliant attitudes and years of experience, who were finding it difficult to gain employment in the industry. It’s a real shame not to give people with these qualities an opportunity. In my experience, I have placed many mature candidates whereby the client was very happy. As consultants we must assess the fitness of a person for their suitability for each role, rather than overlooking them on the basis of their DOB.
